This patient exhibits an interesting five diopter cornea that is quite regular. The eyeglass prescription of this eye is + 5.75 - 5.00 x 005 with an acuity of 20/30. The astigmatism was a congenital trait with little variance over the years. With the astigmatism being completely generated by the cornea surface, a back toric soft lens was fitted with all astigmatic power on the back surface. The lens was a double slab-off design with the toricity of the cornea holding the axis on mark. Correction for this eye with the lens was 20/30. It can be noted that it is rare for an eye with this high of an astigmatism to be so regular and not have any cornea anomalies.
